Our initiative “Hispi, Support for Linguistic Integration” became part of Sophia::Akademie gGmbH in January 2018 in order to position our civic initiative in a more sustainable and entrepreneurial way.

In 2013, we initiated our first cooperation project with the school construction consulting company M3V Adviespartner from the Netherlands. Our goals at the time were to learn from and with each other, to develop innovative learning environments, and to work together with teachers and learners to create effective alignments between pedagogy and architecture.
This collaboration, in the form of joint excursions, conferences, summer schools, congresses, and similar activities, has been very fruitful. We now work with partners from Austria, Italy, Switzerland, and Norway on various projects. In all projects, we are committed to the development of high-quality, inclusive, healthy, and future-oriented school construction.

Learning together and developing space – Learning Space Labs
Future-ready schools need physical and digital learning spaces that are flexible in a simple and robust way, and where pedagogy helps shape the architecture. Therefore, the Protestant School Foundation in the EKBO aims to create innovative learning environments at all its schools in order to prepare its students equally well for the 21st century.
